Although its price/performance ratio made the original Titan Fenrir a very good CPU cooler, many fans of transparent side panels, enclosure neons and component modification have had negative remarks on its looks. The main issue was the colour of the cooling body, which is “generic” grey, which compelled the visually dissatisfied modders to paint the coolers and thus lose their warranties. Noise (or lack thereof) was another selling point of this cooler, but those who wished for absolute silence expected it to perform even better in this regard, which, again, left the most demanding of users dissatisfied. In order to amend this situation, the boys at Titan decided to present a new variant of this popular model, and so the model Fenrir EVO was created.

EVO in the new cooler's name clearly signifies that this is an evolution, not a revolution, and rightly so, since the design of the cooling body itself is identical as the old Fenrir - four heatpipes cutting through tightly packed aluminium plates. The new fan design is to enable quieter work while retaining solid airflow, according to Titan's engineers. Another feature is longer lifetime, which will be an additional plus for those who aren't too keen on changing CPU coolers too often. Since the latest trend is for everything inside the enclosure to be black, many manufacturers have started churning out completely black enclosures as well. Titan has definitely noticed this new trend, which has made Fenrir EVO get a black outfit as well. In order to prevent monotony, the middle section of the cooling body has been painted a colour in between gold and copper, which leaves a specific impression that we've come to appreciate very much. The rest of the bundle is the same as with the old Fenrir, and that is comprised of a short manual, installation parts, thermal paste and 4-pin-to-3-pin adapter.
