ASUS announced the dual-band RP-N53 Wi-Fi range extender, which uses strong internal antennas to increase wireless networking coverage. It works in concurrent 2.4GHz and 5GHz at up to 600Mbit/s alongside routers from ASUS and other brands, overcoming obstacles to transmission to eliminate reception dead zones. Customers get stable internet access in bigger and multi-floor environments, including areas such garages, basements, backyards, and roofs. With its 3.5mm audio jack, the RP-N53 can be used to stream music wirelessly from router-connected USB storage and other source devices to home entertainment and hi-fi systems, allowing music enjoyment wherever Wi-Fi is available.

Cooler Master announced the N200, N400 and N600, a new line of cases with a modernistic design that has the capacity for an internal 240mm radiator even for the smallest of the three. N200 is the first mini-ITX/micro-ATX case that has internal space for 120mm or 240mm radiators in the front of the case or a 120mm radiator at the back. Thanks to an all mesh front panel, 2 Cooler Master XtraFlo fans and large air vents, it boasts excellent cooling performance. Despite its extremely compact size, the N200 supports 160mm tall CPU tower coolers, long high-end VGAs, including the upcoming HD7990, four 2.5” SSDs and three of 3.5” HDDs.

Noctua released a higher speed PWM version of its award-winning NF-A14 140mm fan with 1500rpm top speed and comprehensive speed control. "Our NF-A15 and NF-A14 fans have been very well received by customers and hardware journalists alike", says Mag. Roland Mossig (Noctua CEO), "but we got many requests for a square frame PWM version for use as a case fan and on watercooling radiators. We can now meet this demand with the new NF-A14 PWM." So far, only the round frame NF-A15 was available with PWM support for automatic speed control though. While the NF-A15's round frame is ideal for use on CPU heatsinks, the new NF-A14 PWM now combines PWM support with the A14's square frame that lends itself to use as a case fan or on watercooling radiators.

Western Digital announced it is shipping the world’s first ultra-slim 2.5-inch, 5 mm hard drives and solid state hybrid drives (SSHD), which are designed for integration into the slimmest devices and space-constrained computing environments. "With 500 GB of storage capacity and models with high performance-enabling solid state hybrid drive technology, this slim product line helps to address the trade-offs’ system designers often make between capacity, physical size and performance," WD said. “With the launch of our new WD Blue 5 mm ultra slim hard drives and our WD Black SSHD products, currently shipping to OEMs, WD is delivering to our customers a variety of solutions that maximise storage capacity and volumetric efficiency, as well as performance and system responsiveness, for consumers,” said Matt Rutledge, vice president of WD’s client computing business unit. “Our engineering team took a clean-sheet approach with 5 mm to deliver an ultra-thin hard drive that enables a world of possibilities and applications for mobile computing and beyond.”
