Microsoft has introduced Xbox One, "the all-in-one gaming and entertainment system created for today and the next generation." At Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, the company showcased how Xbox One puts you at the center of all your games, TV, movies, music, sports and Skype.
“Xbox One is designed to deliver a whole new generation of blockbuster games, television and entertainment in a powerful, all-in-one device,” said Don Mattrick, president, Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. “Our unique, modern architecture brings simplicity to the living room and, for the first time ever, the ability to instantly switch across your games and entertainment.”

Electronic Arts and studio DICE have released an 17-minute video featuring action from the first-person shooter Battlefield 4. The video titled "Fishing in Baku" focuses on the single-player campaign. "As artists and craftspeople, we are focused on creating a dynamic, open design that brings people together with amazing, surprising unscripted moments that they'll talk about for days," says Patrick Soderlund, executive vice president of EA Games Label, in a statement. "That's the beauty of Battlefield."

The Steam-powered gaming console will probably be available for developers and hardware partners sometime during the spring. The firm's chief executive Gabe Newell revealed the news to the BBC ahead of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (Bafta) Games Awards. News has come down from Valve‘s Game Newell himself as he spoke with the BBC about the future of the company immediately before the start of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Games Awards.

After a long wait for consumers, OUYA has announced that it will begin shipping their gaming consoles to Kickstarter backers starting on March 28. OUYA says that a full launch of the console is still on schedule for sometime in June. This is when the OUYA console will be available in stores for anyone to purchase. OUYA says that Kickstarter backers will be receiving shipping information in an email within a few weeks, and assembly lines are “buzzing” with the sound of tens of thousands of OUYA consoles being manufactured. If you didn’t back OUYA on Kickstarter, but want a piece of the pie, Best Buy, Target, and GameStop will sell the OUYA console for $99 starting sometime in June. The console wil also be available for purchase on OUYA’s website and Amazon.com.

People who created Halo are preparing something even bigger - Destiny, a persistent online multiplayer game that is supposed to last at least next ten years. Bungie Studio and Activision plan for the Destiny story to unfold gradually over the course of 10 “books,” each with a beginning, middle and end. Destiny will be available for PS and Xbox.

Sony is planning to offer technology to stream games to its next videogame console, people familiar with the company's plans say, alongside other enhancements to bolster its position in the market. The Wall Street Journal has reported that the new technology will be unveiled on Wednesday along with the new console. It will allow users to play games delivered over the Internet, these people said. The streaming service, they added, is designed to use current PlayStation 3 titles on the new console; the new device is also expected to play new games stored on optical discs.
