Do you frequently experience that after using notebook for long period of time, it seriously heats, due to simple reason its air flow is on the lower side? Of course, given it is insufficiently distant, there is no enough air, and its temperature constantly rises. This is not much of a problem when you use little portable computer on the field for shorter period of time. Problem frequently occurs when you use your big 17" notebook as a substitute for desktop computer.

Material   Alloy Aluminum
Dimension  400 x 300 x 42mm
Resting Area   400 x 230mm
Weight  1.56 kg
Fan Dimension   70 x 70 x15 mm
Fan Speed   1500 R.P M ± 10%
Fan Airflow   9.5 CFM ± 10%
Fan Life Expectance   30,000 hours
Fan Noise Level   21 dBA
Air Pressure  0.63 mm H2O ± 10%

Then you can experience more serious problems due to excessive component heating. This is frequent problem, and we have Cooler Master to solve it. For that purpose they created NotePal, designed for portable computers with 17˝ wide screens. This NotePal has W1 mark, and it is made in two colors – silver and black, so you can match it with the color of your notebook. In terms of design, we have to say it is quite lovely product. The fact is that previous statement is completely subjective, but also many friends of author of this text agreed with him.

It is made of aluminum, partially orbed lines; NOTEPAL W1 will not be unnoticed. Its basic purpose is to separate your computer from the surface for better air flow, which consequently result in better cooling. For better fitting onto the surface, NotePal W1 has rubber supports. Besides, test model has three very quiet 7 cm diameter fans, which additionally lowers temperature. There is also a version with one fan less. We think that feeding of these three fans has a good solution, which consume electricity from one USB port on notebook through cable; no additional are required.

Still, it has additional USB connector on the back. NotePal has switch for turning on and off fans, and given they are truly stealth, we advise to keep them on at all times, because they are of great importance in struggle against heat. When your turn off notebook, pay attention to also turn off fans, since they would keep rotating and consume power from your portable computer. Beside cooling function, this product has an ergonomic value, because it positions your portable computer under 15 or so degree angle, resulting in far more natural position during typing. Wrist fatigue is significantly smaller, then in notebook position parallel with desk.

The fact that it is not designed solely for notebook models with large monitors is proved with temperatures on smaller portable devices being significantly lower, with more pleasant sensation during typing. Although significant place is left on the side, it is not bother in daily usage. Therefore, the final verdict is that it is very useful product, a friend to both your notebook and you.
