Conclusion
During test period Verbatim external drive didn’t get too hot or even warm thanks to 40mm fan present at the back. The same fan is almost noiseless since it generates no more than 25dBA. Beside HDTune and HD Tach we also used specially prepared InsideHW Test already used in Hard Drive Roundup but in this test we used it to copy data from partition of internal HDD to partition of external drive, because that will be the most common action. We tested all modes and this external drive proved to be a nice performer. If we take into account all its features, performance levels and price Verbatim 2-Disk RAID External Hard Drive 2TB absolutely deserves InsideHW Approved award.
