  This a mouse with few very unique features when it comes to its design and functions. It looks somewhat futuristic but ergonomically it is designed for right handed users and there are some details that can look odd at first glance. One of these features is presence of mouse wheel on left mouse button. Also, left button is positioned lower than the right one which makes this mouse look as some sort of two fingered paw. This button layout is definitely better for FPS gamers because it allows faster access to mouse wheel and third button. Between left and right mouse button, where wheel should have been, is placed Triple Click button that can be used as left button double click.
On left side are placed back/forward buttons and resolution selector wheel. Rapier V1 has two modes: gaming and standard. Identification of active mode is realized thru LEDs on left side closer to left button. In Gaming mode all buttons become programmable and under their functions are customizable thru drivers. In this mode some buttons can have game specific functions or even scripts. Mouse has its own memory for profile storage so you can use them wherever you go.
Since this is gaming mouse exceptional precision is expected. Laser technology was obvious choice and thanks to it this mouse can scan surface with 7800 frames per second and tracking speeds up to 165cm/s. This mouse also can operate nicely up to accelerations of 20G or if you like to keep things simple pretty fast. Precision of this mouse is from 800dpi up to 3200dpi that can be set using buttons on mouse or even 400dpi if set from drivers (if someone needs less precise mouse). On the bottom side is located lid under which are placed five 4.5g weights that can be used to increase mouse weight and balance. This mouse uses USB 2.0 standard for connecting with PC to provide stable data throughput that will result in more stable mouse movement. Connector itself is gold plated.
Conclusion
If we take into account price and all features of Verbatim Rapier V1 mouse, we can conclude that this mouse can satisfy needs of many gamers. Only problem can be unusual shape and layout that does need few days to adjust to, but after that you can expect nothing less than smooth and precise gaming.
