ImageWe have received a very cute, retro looking remote control. First thing we’ve noticed on packaging was a domain of purpose; it can be used only for Vista Media Center.  You shouldn’t be alarmed when you realize that there is no CD with drivers. That’s because all drivers that you need are already included with Vista.

Beside remote control and receiver you will get USB extension of sufficient length, two mounting strips for receiver, two batteries and manual. Quality of manufacturing case and function keys is very good.

When you unwrap remote controller your attention will be drown to the button with Windows Vista logo on it. Function of this button is to start Vista Media Center. Also there are shortcut keys for recording TV program, watching pictures/videos, TV guide which also can start Vista media center with appropriate segment already selected.
As expected remote control has on/off button for switch on/off computer, so if you want to turn off media center you have to do that using menu options. The rest of functional keys are well positioned, except the ones for left/right navigation, which are little and very close to keys for volume and for changing channels. So, someone with bigger hands could accidentally push two instead of one button. Mute key on Trust remote is singled out in a row and sound can be easily turned on/off, which is very useful thing. Numerical keys are small and densely arranged in spite of sufficient space on remote controller for bigger and more ergonomically arranged keys. Trust guaranties 7m range for receiver and after testing this statement we can confirm it.

Trust Wireless Vista remote control can be recommended for all users who wish to enjoy using computer from bed or armchair with installed Windows Vista Home Premium and Ultimate editions. Users with bigger hands can have problem while using this remote controller but only until accommodated to it. Expected price for this remote controller is around 30€ and that’s why Trust Wireless Vista remote control deserves InsideHW BestBuy award.
