We have a chance to play for few hours with notebook based on Montevina Centrino2 platform. Few hours weren’t quite enough time to describe it in detail, but we succeeded to do some tests and we present you our preliminary results.
New X4500 Intel integrated graphics is noticeably slower than AMD Puma platform (Radeon HD3200) which reached 1255 in 3DMark06 and 19fps in Doom 3 with Ultra settings. We can guess that Intel will iron out drivers until Montevina Centurino2 is officially presented and if that would be the case, we can expect much better performances. We got a feeling that consumption is reduced since autonomy is increased. Battery voltage was 14.4V and capacity 4800mAh.
