Novelty on netbook market, Intel Atom N280 CPU that operates at 1.66GHz, is just slightly faster than its older brother N270 and with no significant differences that can be noticed since difference is only 60MHz between those two. Despite the fact that there is no big difference in CPU speeds the whole system is significantly faster because FSB has been raised from 533MHz at 667MHz. Some tests are showing significant speed difference in some rendering benchmarks but since this netbook is not rendering workstation these results don’t have too much significance. Since this is first netbook based on Atom N280 CPU we cannot make any definite conclusion but Acer Aspire One D150 has, definitely, lower power consumption. We have to wait and see is this only consequence of lower power consumption of CPU or some other components. In the mean time we can enjoy in phenomenal autonomy of Acer Aspire One D150 that is provided by big battery and low power consumption components built into this netbook.

Acer Aspire One D150 is very quiet netbook that gets worm at the bottom side but not too much and definitely in amount that could bother you too much.

When it comes to webcams that Acer uses for its notebooks/netbooks we always used superlatives to describe them. This time situation is significantly different: webcam on One D150 has average quality. Don’t get us wrong. There is nothing wrong with this webcam. We are simply used to see much better webcams on portable devices signed by Acer.

Acer Aspire One D150 has everything that one good netbook needs to have: big display with nice characteristics, Windows XP, Bluetooth, biggest hard disk that we saw in netbooks so far and long autonomy. For notebooks, 1GB of RAM is considered insufficient but for netbooks that amount of memory is enough.
