nVIDIA with this model actually presented something really new that in many aspects resembles GeForce  9800X2 that had really short shelf life. Nevertheless we expect that this model will be present on the GPU market significantly longer especially if we take into account current nVIDIA situation. GTX295 presents response to ATi’s X2 graphics cards. This model will present pinnacle of nVIDIA’s product lineup.  This graphics card is based on same 55nm GT200b chip but not the same that appeared on GTX285 model. GPU on GTX295 model has 216 Stream processors and this is chip that can be found on GTX260+ model. This can probably only meant that we can expect even more powerful version of GTX295 (plus maybe) but there are no confirmations on this issue from nVIDIA. Simple explanation is: GTX295 is DualGPU graphics card that is consisted of two GTX260+ chips. GPU frequencies are those that were used on 65nm version of GT200 chip: 575MHz. Stream processors operate at 1240MHz,   while new GTX260+ has Stream processors that operate at 1350MHz. These decisions can be explained with nVIDIA’s intention to keep power consumption of this graphics card as low as it can: 289W, while overcloked models will reach higher values. Memory bus is, standard for GTX260, 448bit wide. To maintain competitive price of this model nVIDIA used DDR3 memory again, that has 1ns response time and operates at 2GHz.

XFX packed its version of GTX295 into big box with same accessories as for GTX285 model including FarCry2 game. Design of this card is brilliant with very good and efficient cooling solution. Because of this cooling solution details on PCB of this graphics card are hardly visible. This card also needs one 6pin and one 8pin molex power connector along with good power supply unit. Two DVI ports and one HDMI are outputs that can be found on this model. Most users (gamers) that purchase this model are not likely to use if for multimedia so HDMI will be most frequently used port on this model.  When it comes to games XFX GTX295 is absolutely king-of-the-hill at this moment, and all uncompromising gamers will find all performances they need in this graphics card.
