Page 3 of 12 Nintendo lastingly and secretly concealed its new controller system which is consisted of something which may be called typical remote controller and something that reminds to joystick. Controller (if you are right handed) is to be taken in right hand, and joystick, known as „Nunchuk“, in left. Being that many people thought that controller will be used for controlling the menus, and four-directional button on it for game play, the reality is, however, slightly different. Wiimote has gyroscope within, which makes it one of the most inventive controllers ever. Namely, most games (particularly Wii sports included with the console) could be controlled exclusively with your body moves, i.e. hand.
This way, you will slam tennis ball exactly the way you hold the racket. Control system is pretty simple because it relies exclusively on your body moves not on the fast pushing of the buttons, thus it’s not strange if Wii attracted lots of players all of a sudden, not only young people. Single issue you should pay attention on is: do your neighbors peek at you through the window, because hitting imagined ball or opponent could look disturbing to your environment. Wiimote can be used as normal controller if you turn it for 90 degrees to the left side, while hanging it with both hands. Thus your left hand will control four-directional button and button „A“, while right hand will press main control buttons 1 and 2.
There are additional buttons „+“, „-“, „Home“ and button „B“, located on the bottom side and naturally rests your index finger when you hold Wiimote in one hand. Even in this „common“ mode, Wiimote is not that much „common“. Namely, in most games (particularly driving) pitching the controller to the left or right side will move your vehicle or game character respectively, while pulling „to yourself“ will cause jump.
