Page 4 of 12 Nunchuk is additional controller which is to be mounted to Wiimote and may not operate without it. It has analog controller and two additional action buttons. Its utility comes into effect in moments when you want to engage left hand, for example in boxing. Nunchuk is equipped with gyroscope too, thus bringing really interesting experience of ring fighting. This controller is used for first person shooter games in very interesting manner. Nunchuk is used for moving in the way you move it forward, backward, left or right, thus your game character will do the same. On the other side, Wiimote will be used for controlling your sight on the display and, of course, to shoot the opponents. Thence this makes one of the most inventive and most interesting game plays of FPS games ever, and certainly the easiest way when speaking about consoles.
If you properly followed previous paragraph, you learnt that Wiimote is used for controlling the sight in FPS games, and if you carefully followed the very beginning of the article you learnt that sensor is to be put on TV. If we know that Wiimote communicates through Bluetooth and has built-in gyroscope, then why sensor and how it generally controls the sight? Wii on its top has transmitter received by sensor on the TV, which directly defines position of the hand palm on your TV screen. This way, Wiimote is acting like unique combination of presenter and computer mouse, which will enable easy moving through menus of this console and fast navigation as well.
System is particularly useful in Opera, i.e. during Internet surfing, because you are easily going to become familiar with Wiimote as with computer mouse. Neat option is in the fact that remote controller vibrates when you pass through the link, which is really praiseworthy. Beside these two, there is another controller which is not included with the console, and its name is „Classic“. It’s about one retro product which reminds of the oldest Nintendo controllers and, which unlike previous two, has standard outline. It finds its application in playing old Nintendo games through „Virtual Console“ (see separate article „Wii Shop and Virtual Console“).
