Page 2 of 2 Unlike previous cameras, A700 is based on slightly different concept. For this body and chip dimension, very realistic 6 MP is followed by 6x optic zoom, which is very frequently wanted by more demanding user, but we also have to mention insufficiently wide, wide segment, of only 35mm. Major options from previous models are also present with this camera. There are some other interesting digital functions, like possibility of simple brightness of person being photographed in counter-light or conversion into some of effects of current photographs, with this being possible only during exposition.
Quality of image is good for camera of these dimensions, and 6x optic zoom, beside excellent macro options, offers very good sharpness in all zoom ranges, even with larger lens opening, with present nothing much but small blur in corners and sometimes mild shine around brighter objects on darker background. Two AA batteries are supplying Canon A700, which causes slightly slower flesh charging, so if you have an intention of taking many pictures in conditions of poorer visibility, we recommend one of the previous models.
Given that Canon does not provide charger nor Ni-MH AA batteries, no matter what camera you choose, it is necessary to calculate price of charger with one or two sets of quality chargeable batteries, with note to pay attention to the manufacturer, because market is full with false batteries.
