GeIL EVO Cyclone isn’t prettiest memory cooler that we saw, although we liked its design, but it is one of the most useful coolers for RAM memory. It can be mounted very easy and you will not need additional tools. Mounting system is consisted of two metal brackets that can be mounted on plastics clips that secure memory in its slot. When screws are tightened (on both sides) you will get one nicely fixed memory cooler. Simple and very effective design. If you have one of those memory modules that have high heatsinks we should inform you that GeIL designers predicted that situation and EVO Cyclone can be mounted even on memory modules with big heatsinks. This relatively small cooler (146x52.6x106mm) isn’t too heavy neither, it weighs only 135grams. As expected, for such custom cooling solution, fan of non-standard radius is used: 50mm. Maximum RPS is 3400RPM and it is not too noisy at that speed: 21dBA. Cooler body has aluminum ribs that help in better cooling and air flow.

If you are already convinced that memory cooler is your next investment, wait for few more details. Since its price is around 35€ you should expect it to do something more than just simple cooling job for your memory modules don’t ya? So, it displays temperature and rotation speed of fan on very unusual way. Below fan is mounted red colored LED display that projects info on blue lighted fan. First is displayed name of cooler (GeIL EVO Cyclone), then temperature and after that RPM of fan. Fan has 3-pin connector so it is easy to mount it on fan speed controller if you find it to be too noisy. Of course this cooler is also efficient and you can take a look at results for more details.
