Cooler Master ATCS 840 had another surprise for us. When we unscrewed four screws on the back side of chassis, we realized that complete plate for motherboard mounting can be taken out of the chassis. This is not first time that we encountered with this option to be honest but it passed too much time since we saw this option on any chassis. On motherboard mounting plate are two holes: for mounting CPU cooler backplate and for 24-pin power cable. Thanks to last one, it is possible to hide nicely all cables and provide even better air flow inside chassis. Since primary position for power supply is on the bottom side, Cooler Master provided extension cord for power cable.
Among other accessories that can be found in the package there are also plastic stripes that can help you “subdue” all cables inside chassis. One more innovation on this chassis is black box that can be mounted on back side of chassis. In this box one 120mm fan can be mounted that can improve graphics card cooling. Since there are graphics cards that displace a lot of hot air, this fan can help in those cases significantly. On back side of this box are rubber openings for cables of graphics card that make all these cables look neater. On back side of chassis is another location for 120mm fan that is also included in package of this chassis.

Testing
It wasn’t too hard for us to move one of our rigs into Cooler Master ATCS 840. Rig was originally packed in Chenbro Gaming Bomb chassis. You can observe changes in temperatures presented in graphs on next page. We expected that some of the components would achieve lower temperatures but results surprised us. Both chassis were tested in same conditions (22 degrees Celsius). Both chasses were tested for four hours (2hours each) and we wrote down temperatures for each component individually and only under full load of the system.
