SonicGear brought this category of amplifiers to the computer world. Their i-Steroid 2.1 system represents a unique attempt at integrating “old-fashioned” vacuum tubes into the cold electronics and high-tech world. The name itself is obviously an allusion to iPod players and that becomes even more obvious by taking a glance at the device itself.

If some monitor looks nice we can see that by ourselves when we take it out from the packaging, but when it comes to other manufacturer’s promise (about performances) we need to check them by ourselves for its authenticity. This time we’ve compared two CPUs: Core2Quad Q9300 (this is the bottom model of current lineup) and Core2Extreme QX9650 (the top model of current lineup). We have experimented with QX9650, bringing down its multiplier so we got whole palette of Core2Quad processors from Q9x50 generation. To make evaluation of performances we have included in test even Core2Extreme QX6850 which is the top model Quad CPU from previous generation (65nm).

Can a successor be worse than its predecessor? Usually not, since the engineers who make projects of the new model listen carefully to what community has to say and iron out all flaws. Why such an introduction? Is Cosmos-S better or worse than its predecessors? 
In our opinion, the only users that might find interest in this case are: one, hardcore overclockers with one or more high-end GPUs and likely a water-cooling system, and two, those users who don't think twice about paying a lot for excellent design, which this case really has. 
The performance of this system is as expected - great. An overclocked Q6600 CPU working at 3.6 GHz is a serious challenge to even the best air coolers, so it presented a fitting challenge for a water-cooling system as well. With a room temperature of 25 degrees, Kandalf didn't allow the CPU to go over 67 degrees under full load. All things considered, the price of this case is not unreal, and with all its great attributes, we declare this case - approved. 
The computer case market situation is a great deal clearer compared to the state from a few years ago. There are only a couple of major players remaining in the competitive section, those being the likes of Cooler Master, ThermalTake, Chieftec or Chenbro. We had a couple of cases on test from the fifth major - Antec. Spoilt a great deal by the previous fantastic cases we had the privilege to test, we had most rigorous expectations from these ones.
