Kingston Technology was ranked No. 1 by iSuppli in the world in the dynamic random access memory (DRAM) module supplier market for 2007, based on revenues. According to a recent report from the independent research company, Kingston Technology had over $2.2 billion (U.S.) in sales, representing over 27 percent of the total global DRAM market.
Kingston’s DRAM module products include branded or system-specific memory; ValueRAM memory built to JEDEC specs and designed for system integrators and white box builders; and HyperX memory for gamers and PC enthusiasts who demand higher performance and speed. Founded in 1987 with a single offering, Kingston Technology now makes and sells over 2,000 memory products.
The iSuppli report only covered DRAM module revenues and did not include OEM contract manufacturing or Flash memory sales. In March, Kingston Technology announced that its 2007 global revenues soared to $4.5 billion, the highest in company history. |

Intel's passion for innovation is applied not only to developing new technologies, but also to managing complex global environmental issues. Energy efficiency and resource conservation are at the forefront of what needs to be done to address today’s climate challenges.
Energy efficiency has become a key design priority as we seek to deliver cutting edge processors and computing platforms. The recent transition from single-core to multi-core technology has permanently altered the course of computing as we know it, enabling powerful energy-efficient performance on all Intel's platforms.
Moving from 65nm to 45nm technology has not only enabled a smaller die
size, but has also enabled more transistors to be deployed. This
allows greater performance and at the same time a 30% reduction in
transistor switching power. Intel also moved away from lead and halogen
- two materials that have been used by the entire electronics industry
for decades but have recently raised concerns around the impact they're
having on our environment.

We have received an official writen statement from Asus, and we are reporting it entirely...
"It has come to our attention that a certain Taiwanese Motherboard Manufacturer has made false claims against ASUS motherboards. These claims have given rise to false information being communicated in both the mainstream media and technology channels. ASUS wishes to clarify the issues and so avoid any further confusion.
After investigation, it is clear that this company in question made use of a sponsored gathering of local and international media to deliberately spread information that we consider both untrue and without credible verification. This “disinformation” is not only extremely damaging to ASUS but also completely misleading to the consumers.
ASUS reserves the right to take legal action against any individual, organization or corporation which creates or spreads such rumors." |

Independent specialized supplier for proprietary memory expansions, generic modules and flash-based products Memorysolution GmbH celebrated 10 years of existence on December 1st. To mark the anniversary, a sweepstake in form of a crossword puzzle will be been put online on the corporate web pages.
"Despite having gone through the same ups and downs in the market that all market participants had to overcome, Memorysolution had already finalized the first half of the year 2007 – against the common trend - with an impressive positive business result. Not resting on our laurels, however further measures to improve on efficiency and customer satisfaction were initiated.
At CeBIT 2007, Memorysolution announced the distribution of DDR2 memory manufactured by OCI. In the D-A-CH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), the unique and patented fully RoHS compliant DRAM memory modules are available exclusively through Memorysolution.
