Vi-ON external hard drive enclosure is external enclosure with embedded hard drive suspension system and Active Smart Cooling System. It utilizes a temperature sensing fan that reacts to hard drive temperature and changes fan speed in real-time for utmost efficiency and silence. Vi-ON series supports 2.5” and 3.5” HDDs.
Vi-ON 2.5” SATA HDD enclosure series is consisted of two models ST0006Z and ST0007Z (white and black, respectively). They support all 2.5” SATA hard drive capacity up to 500GB. Fan dimensions are 135 x 188 x 25 mm and weight is 120g.
Vi-ON 3.5” SATA HDD enclosure series counts four models that support transfer trough USB 2.0 (ST0011, ST0009, white and black) and USB 2.0 & eSATA (ST0010, ST0008, white and black). Thermaltake implemented into these models auto temperature sensing fan that reacts to hard drive temperature change in real-time. 3.5” enclosures have stable detachable base unit for easy transportation and mobility when needed. They support all 3.5” SATA hard drive. Fan dimensions are 255 x 70 x 205 mm, weight is 480g and noise level is 27dBA.
Complete Vi-On series has all-around metal mesh opening to provide unobstructed airflow intake to achieve noise-less convection cooling. They are all SATA I and SATA II compatible and have transfer rate through USB 2.0 up to 480MB/s.
