Design lines resembles previous stuff from their gaming oriented peripheral department, but are a bit more stylish, and not sou bulky as it used to be. Logitech added customizable back-lighting on the G110: you can make it red, blue, or any shade of purple. Controls let you vary the intensity of each color to make a custom shade.
The keyboard also includes headphone and microphone jacks, as well as
mute buttons. Most importantly to gamers are 12 programmable shortcut
keys (known as G-keys) and three macro keys (M-keys). Multiple profiles
can be saved, which are loaded automatically when the corresponding
game is loaded. Users can also lock out the Windows shortcut keys so
that they don't accidentally interrupt their game play. Automatic game
detection lets you create separate custom G key profiles for every game
you play. The new keyboard also has a removable palm rest, USB 2.0
connectivity, and a USB port to easily hook up a headset or mouse.
The Gaming Keyboard G110 is available for pre-order now for $79.99 and will ship in November.
