ImageSite CVG has an interview with Stephen McGill from Microsoft Xbox and Entertainment, who has made it clear that digital media is the future, and not Blu-ray discs. Says McGill: "We have no plans to adopt Blu-Ray drive for the Xbox 360. In fact, the future of home entertainment started last autumn when Xbox 360 became the first and only console to offer instant-on 1080p streaming HD movies".

Rumours say multitasking comes to iPhone 4.0 PDF Print

ImageSite AppleInsider is citing anonymous sources in reporting that the iPhone OS 4.0 release will allow users to launch and access multiple applications at once, including those from third-party developers. Additionally, they have reported that version 4.0 of the iPhoneOS will borrow elements of the MacOS X interface to present and manage multiple active applications.

Unreal Engine 3 demo running on Palm webOS PDF Print

ImagePalm is currently demonstrating Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 running on a Palm Pre Plus at the Game Developers Conference this week. The company managed to get the engine working on webOS just two weeks after receiving a test version of the Unreal Development Kit, according to CNET. The technology is currently used in PC and console games such as Gears of War 2 and Unreal Tournament III.
