World Championships in football is taking place every four years. The winner raises trophies, on the wings of its triumph. Is Italy actually the world best football selection? Officially, yeah, it is! It is best prepared at the moment; therefore it is the best world selection. However, what would happen if the World Championship is to take place every four months? Every day, every hour? Minute? Or second? Probably someone else would be on throne.

Unlike WC in football, unofficial WC in overclocking lasts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It literally means that in one moment you can have the best score in the world, and the very next day, you can be second or third. Goal is to obtain best possible frequency, best time or ultimate number of scores in benchmark software. Testing ultimate hardware limits over time turned into sport, or it is better to say, some type of sport. Extreme overclocking in competitive sense has all elements of sport. With inevitable talent, long-term training and experience gathering, there are also uncertainties, factor of luck, moments where it is necessary to take over responsibility, and of course, bad luck. In one word, sport.
