Presario Overheating 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello,

First of all, sorry if this post is in the wrong category.

I own a Compaq Presario 1500 but some months ago tt seems that is overheating and the Fan is

always on and sometimes at full speed. I've already opened and cleaned the dust of the fan and put

some more thermal mass on the CPU but it doesnt solves the problem.

The laptop is old, 5 yrs and I think that this may be the end of it

Any hint ?

Thank you.
_________________
low fixed rate Installment loan

Shared ownership spain

there is nothing else you can do.. if fan is working properly, there is slight possibility that system / bios is reporting / reading wrong temperatures, therefore forcing fan to its max speed.

you can try updating to latest bios or changing the fan (if possible).

There are coolers in the market now and cheap ones too.
You just place the laptop on it and presto it works.
It work for me.
