Soon after presentation of E-30 model, that introduced a lot of new features like 11 focus points and HyperCrystal II display, we had a chance to test successor of E520 model: E-620. Although this model also belong to entry level DSLR cameras it shares many features with much advanced E-30 model. Body, for example, is made out of rigid plastic and very much looks like body of E-30 model. Camera seams robust, although not suited for users with large hands since hand grip is shallow at the front. Buttons layout is intuitive and very good. All buttons are moved to the left of display since right side is reserved for mechanism that allows the display to be rotated and moved. Buttons also have backlight that can be helpful in pitch dark conditions. Unfortunately there isn’t a button for direct access to RAW settings, and menus have to be used. Multifunctional connector is placed below navigational buttons in lower segment of the body, while battery can be found at it usual place: at the bottom right part (handgrip). Memory card slot is placed lateral and xD and CompactFlash cards are supported.

The FE-5000 model represents novelty in FE series of Olympus digital photo camera product lineup and it is positioned as top model in this series, right beside Olympus FE-5010 model. Difference between these two cameras is in 2MP larger sensor that uses model FE-5010, along with noise reduction for expositions slower than 0.5 seconds. Olympus FE-5000 has its debut on this year’s CES held in Las Vegas and it was announced as “new budget camera” with “One button, one Function” design principle.

At the moment we saw it, we knew that this was the love at first sight. Canon FS11 is in true sense of word, compact digital camcorder with innovative and attractive functions, futuristic design and 16GB of memory for storing recorded video material.
Canon Company revived camcorder market with FS11 model. It uses
built-in memory instead of MiniDV tape or CD/DVD media. Canon FS11,
beside low power consumption and small dimensions, brings completely

Olympus E-520 is considered as ticket to D-SLR world and its price speaks for itself. When you take this model into your hands you really got the feeling that you are holding a quality pro model that can accomplish a lot. For testing purposes we’ve got two additional lenses: Zuiko Digital ED 50 mm Macro and telephoto lens Zuiko Digital 50-200mm (equivalent of standard 100-400mm). Olympus E-520 is available in two variants: kit with zoom lens Olympus Digital 14-42mm (we got this one also on test) and variant without this lens (just body).

This time we have tested accessible digital cameras with price tag below 160€. We couldn’t test all cameras in this price range so we tested only models that we found interesting. On the market you can find cameras with similar specifications to those that we have tested which very often mean just different number of megapixels. Since summer vacations are approaching we hope that this round-up will help you in making decision for your new camera.

This point-and-shoot camera gives impression of reliability and well built product. Canon IXUS 80 IS has all standard and expected functions without unnecessary “fancy” stuff that some manufacturers implement with intention to attract customers. Canon intended this model for users who desire modern, reliable and quality photo camera without any unusual functions (with limited usability).

BenQ DC C610 is cute small digital camera suitable for complete beginners, or for those without ambitions or need to achieve image quality which could compete with professional models. C610 is ideal for those wanting to lightly make some images and capture family moments, and later watch those images on the computer screen and now and then print some of them.

As a company which perhaps does the most for the end-user, Olympus presented a series of underwater cases, designed to fit almost all of the models in the current product gamma. This time around, we shall present the newest camera models in this well-known manufacturer's palette, together with their inherent underwater shooting cases. Summer holidays become small adventures more and more each year (unless you decide to spend them “locally”), thus making underwater shooting have a completely new dimension with digital cameras.

From generation to generation, class A becomes better and better. Every new generations gets some options taken from Canon’s top G models; but even with all of this, two years ago, it was almost impossible to believe in a fact that any model from „Entry“ category will be able to have 10 MP chip, which is exactly what happened after introducing Canon A640.
