photo_roundup_intro2.jpgImageThe holiday season is about to begin (it already has for some) and the preparations for it are underway. In order to keep the memories well preserved, a camera is an absolute must. Perhaps you already have one, but you may have planned to get one this very summer. Either way, picking a model which will suit you the most is no easy task. You’ll miss a certain function, the price may be too high to fit into the budget etc. Since most of us are going to the seaside, the idea of having a camera that you can bring with you into the sea or under it seems very interesting.

The waterproof camera gamma was rather modest a few years back, though. Most waterproof compact cameras were signed by Olympus, while other manufacturers shunned this interesting segment in a way, launching only one or two waterproof models. Luckily, this era is behind us, and potential buyers are facing a solid choice of waterproof cameras on the market. We picked six models by different manufacturers that we were able to scoop up domestically, in order to help you pick the right one for yourselves. We won’t delve into the specs too much, looking for the tiniest of flaws, but instead try to help you reach the decision as to which camera would be the optimal choice for a seaside holiday, underwater as well as above.
