Home - News - InsideHW - IFA 2010: Logitech Gaming Sets and Headphones
ImageOne of the highlights of Logitech booth at this year IFA was a gaming set composed of G930 headset, G700 mouse and G510 keyboard. Introduced last month, new gaming devices bring nice upgrade to previous series. Headset supports 7.1 Dolby surround sound and wireless connectivity, with battery life up to 10h. In line with wireless philosophy, new gaming mouse is also wireless, but due 1000 reports per second it should have same filling as wired one. If you are still not convinced, you can attach it to PC via USB cable and use it as a standard corded mouse. G510 keyboard brings just two really new things, color display and audio jack for headphones. One more thing is big scroll wheel more commonly seen on office keyboards.

Not far away we spotted new illuminated keyboard, and you can guess - new model is wireless. Beside obvious one - cord is gone, there some other improvements: level of backlight now automatically changes based on ambient light. One of the main problems, increased power consumption due backlight and its impact on battery life, was successfully solved – it should work for 10 days straight. To achieve this, backlight turns off after some time of inactivity, only to kicks back in when motion sensors detect movements.

As we already wrote several times, Ultimate Ears line is new in Logitech portfolio, and up to now was reserved for excellent and expensive models. 100 line brings several things like design versatility and good noise cancelation of 24 dB. With every model you got 4 different size ear cushions for best comfort during long hours of music listening. Best part is the price: it's under 20 euro. As much as we like this aggressive preening, question which we need to answer when we pick them for the test is: “Do they feel like Ultimate Ears headphones?”
