MSI has announced its partnership with Qualcomm Atheros, Fudzilla has reported. This partnership will result with implementation of Killer Networking technology on both MSI's notebooks and a new lineup of gaming motherboards scheduled to appear at Cebit show in March. According to MSI, the new Killer E2200 chip has many advantages including Windows 8 compatibility and Linux supported drivers that were not found on the previous E2100 chip. MSI and Qualcomm Atheros also joined up to create a new and upgraded driver and user interface that will allow gamers full control over their network traffic and prioritization. Fudzilla has published the names of new AMD desktop low power processors codenamed Kabini. Kabini has two to four Jaguar cores, AMD Turbo Core overclocking, Radeon HD 8000 series graphics, DirectX 11.1 support, up to DDR3 1866 and comes in FT3 BGA package. These APUs are expected to launch in June 2013.

According to individuals familiar with the situation, Apple is testing designs for a “watch-like device,” something that sounds similar to the popular Pebble smartwatch. The company has already been in discussions about the device with Foxconn, which is reported as actively working on wearable device technology for multiple companies, says the sources. According to the Wall Street Journal, one of the sources says that Foxconn is currently working on making the wearable device displays more power-efficient for battery purposes. If Apple does ever release a wearable device, it is said that it’ll be integrated with the iPhone, probably connecting with the device via Bluetooth and allowing the two to have a symbiotic relationship.

It seems that Google is working on a new Chromebook, entirely developed in-house. As reported by Android Authority, this video, originaly posted by developer Francois Beaufort, shows Chromebook Pixel, a computer with a 2560 x 1700 resolution touchscreen. The laptop appears to be undergoing testing at Google. It’s noted that the video in question was created by Slinky.me, a company that has worked with the search engine giant before.

Fractal Design has introduced the newest member of its Arc family of airflow cases, the Arc Midi R2. Fractal Design said that Arc Midi 2 features three high performance Silent Series R2 fans and ample water cooling options that should maximize airflow throughout the case and keep even the most demanding systems at cool temperatures. Designed to house even the thickest radiators in both the top and front panels without extensive modifications, the Arc Midi R2 offers all this within a mid size case.
