New Foxconn Destroyer Motherboard

ImageFoxconn launched the first AMD platform motherboard in its highly-successful Quantum Force product range. Destroyer is based on the NVIDIA 780a SLI MCP and supports the latest AMD Phenom processors along with socket AM2 Athlon and Sempron CPUs. It supports HyperTransport 3.0 technology, which dramatically increases available bandwidth between CPU and other system components.

 

"This is the first Quantum Force solution for the AMD platform, and we are certainly very happy with the result," commented Greta Kuo, Quantum Force Product Manager. Kuo claims that Destroyer will "push the envelop of AMD desktop performance", thanks to innovations like the Quantum BIOS and extended heatpipe solution which helps to remove heat from the northbridge through a radiator fitting that extends beyond the motherboard.
