Rumor: ASUS buying Asrock

asus-bids-for-asrockSeveral HW websites have posted this info, but no one has officially confirmed it. Although it does sound like a PR spin, it might have some logic in it. ASUS has been working hard to position itself as a vendor and a brand, not just a manufacturer of PC components. With several of their products released in last 12 months, they seem to be heading in the right direction. Nexus 7 tablet came out of ASUS's kitchen, as well as series of Transformer tablets. PadFone was groundbreaking move, and we expect Windows 8 tablets soon. It could be the case that all forces have been pushed in this direction, and that Asrock's recent success could do well for ASUS motherboards.
