After the global success of Samsung Galaxy line, it’s no wonder that Samsung started using this brand for other phones, which are not counted among the best of the Android devices. Still, this is the first time that Samsung explicitly linked its strongest model (Galaxy SIII) with an average one (Galaxy SIII Mini), so the question remains whether it’s justified, or if SIII Mini is really that good.

iMore has learned that Apple is planning the release of the iPhone 5S for this summer, currently for August. Next generation iPads, presumably the iPad 5 and potentially the iPad mini 2, may also debut as soon as this April. Sources familiar with the plans have told iMore that the iPhone 5S does indeed have the same basic design as the iPhone 5, with a more advanced processor and an improved camera. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the new flagship iPhone will be powered by a new A7 chip baked in a 28-nanometer process, a fingerprint-sensing authentication system, and an improved camera produced by Sony. Kuo also says that the iPhone 5S will have the same display size as the iPhone 5, and at 7.6mm and 112 grams, will be as slim and weigh the same, as well.

Whenever we changed our desktop HDD, we’d always think we could never possibly need a larger one… until we’d run out of space six months later. It’s similar with the speed of wireless networks today. The last thirteen years have seen wireless networks soar from the modest 11 Mbps (802.11b) to the I’m-never-possibly-going-to-need 1300 Mbps, proposed by the latest IEEE 802.11ac standard. With the latest cloud technology development trends in mind, as well as the fact that there are more and more online services offering unlimited storage space, it’s not going to be a question of how much room there is, but how fast it can be accessed. Besides, quality storage and use of new video technologies (such as 4K UHD) will require us to upgrade our quickly aging wireless infrastructure with a more serious and powerful one. It doesn’t come across as surprising, then, that the rate of improvement in wireless technologies seems to be increasing.
