Fractal Design ARC Midi R2: Elegant and spacious

In the era of mobile device expansion and the general portability of everything, it’s a bit odd to invest in development of desktop chassis, not to mention investing in a redesign of a solid model, such as ARC MIDI. On the other hand, there will always be tasks that will be performed better on a desktop computer. Unlike the vast majority of chassis that we’ve got from China, models made by the company Fractal pride themselves with elegant design and high functionality. That’s thanks to their design department in Sweden, and that’s the reason the chassis made by this company look really different (check out Design Core 3000 USB3 model).

NVIDIA Shield: Ultimate portable console, or just a passing fad?

When first rumors about NVIDIA making its own portable console were heard, everybody rushed to predict the fate of this idea. There were optimistic predictions that saw Shield as the future of portable gaming, but there were also pessimistic conclusions that Shield will be obsolete as soon as it’s available on the market. Whichever way you decide to look on NVIDIA’s announcement that it will join this specific market, there were only a few people who saw it coming. This market is dominated by Sony and Nintendo, and it has been for years, in that amount that even Microsoft didn’t want to meddle in it. On the other hand, there’s been an increasing number of mobile devices that far surpass the hardware capabilities of one PS Vita console, and not to mention the modest Nintendo 3DS.

Cooler Master GM

gm-1-sCooler Master released the new efficient and valuable GM Series Power Supplies (PSU). Developed to improve efficiency and increase heat dissipation, GM Series PSUs are manufactured with a unique 3D circuit design. This special design minimizes unnecessary cabling which results in lower crosstalk and signal noise. Less cables means more open space to provide improved airflow to core components. A single, powerful rail platform channels the power of GM Series PSUs for superior load balancing and better compatibility with graphics cards. A custom DC-DC module further increases operational efficiency and voltage stability. A firm 80 PLUS Bronze certification is the net result of these many improvements. GM PSUs include a semi modular flat ribbon cable system, meaning that only the most basic system cables are directly attached. The GM Series will be available in Europe market from next week in 450W, 550W, 650W, and 750W models.
