Firefox 3.5 RC2 now, full version next week

ImageFans of Firefox's beta builds can now download Firefox 3.5 Release Candidate 2. The latest build contains bug fixes although, according to Mozilla's Director of Firefox, Mike Beltzner, these were minor stability issues corrected after the release of the first release candidate.
Belzner also addressed some confusion among the 800,000 or so beta users about Firefox's beta-naming conventions. When the beta moves into release candidate mode, he said, it takes on the name of the final version because if no further problems are found the RC build will simply become the public version.

BIOSTAR 945GC-330

biostar_945gc-330_intro2.jpgImageIn our test lab arrived very interesting motherboard signed by BIOSTAR. Actually it is not just another motherboard, but very interesting one. Its official name is 945GC-330 and it has integrated graphics card, LAN and sound card which isn’t that big deal, but integrated CPU is. This motherboard is based on Intel Atom CPU and it is made in Mini-ITX size (17x17cm or 6.7x6.7inches). This means that you can make a “desktop” configuration based on Atom CPU, but let’s start from the beginning.

Cooler Master Hyper TX3 vs. Cooler Master 212 Plus

cooler_master_hyper_tx3_212plus_intro2.jpgImageOne by one CPU cooler manufacturers have adopted new concept of building heat-pipe coolers: heat-pipes are in direct contact with CPU heat spreader. This solution has proved to be very efficient, or at least more efficient than traditional heat-pipe coolers. Cooler Master, as one of the leading companies on cooling solution market, has also adopted this new trend and as result of their efforts we can present you two new models from Hyper series: TX3 and 212 Plus.

ASUS GeForce ENGTX275 vs. ASUS Radeon EAH4890

ASUS_GTX275_vs_HD4890_intro2.jpg ImageWith its HD 4890 model ATI raise a lot of dust and made huge impact on graphics card market. Despite the fact that this card should have been “just” optimized Radeon HD 4870, it was much, much more than that. RV790 is capable of withstanding frequencies that were unimaginable for “old” RV770, and just the fact that it can operate at 1GHz is completely different story. It is clear that this kind of overclocking freedom made this card a very interesting purchase for all enthusiasts. Some of you might think that because of this overclocking capabilities, HD 4890 is overrated, but, actually it isn’t. It is clear that HD 4890 is faster than GTX260+, and its real competitor is GeForce GTX275. Reason why we didn’t compare these two earlier is unavailability of GTX275 in larger quantities on the market but now even that parameter has been satisfied. So, this time, we have in the red corner ASUS Radeon HD4890 1GB Vtweak and in green corner ASUS GeForce ENGTX275 896MB, which is actually an Kramer vs. Kramer situation.
