Touch pad is very interesting thanks to its circle shape and also have purpose of navigation keys. Touch pad is very sensitive and it integrates five buttons: middle (OK) button and navigational keys for up, down, left and right. Right beside touch pad is a switch for choosing pad functioning mode: mouse mode or keyboard mode with navigation keys. Unlike standard notebook’s touch pad, on this one, left mouse click is realized through pressing OK button (middle button) and right mouse click is actually realized through combination of keys.
For achieving full functionality of this device you will need Logitech SetPoint software that comes on included disc. Installation of SetPoint drivers allows you changing functions of some keys and also displays battery status. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows (XP and Vista) are supported by SetPoint drivers.
Battery provides incredibly long autonomy for diNovo Mini, and we couldn’t empty it during our testing period of few weeks. Manufacturer claims that expected battery life is 30 days. Logitech also claims that for full charge of battery it takes about 4 hours while for fast-charge takes only 10 minutes if you intend to use device for 1 day. It is sufficient to say that when SetPoint showed 20% battery capacity left, it actually showed that there are 6 days left prior to full battery recharging. By simple calculation we got the very same 30 days, as Logitech claims, for battery life.
Device itself has battery indicator that becomes activated when battery reaches 25% or less of its full capacity, and another indicator that signalize lost Bluetooth connection (in our case it worked successfully on 7-8 meters distance from PC).
