Illuminated Keyboard
This keyboard model is innovative in many fields. First of all, with height being only 9.3mm it is the thinnest Logitech keyboard ever made. If raising clips are lowered down, it seems like the keyboard is a part of the table (in case your table is black also). It is framed with transparent plastic, and in combination with piano finish on palm rest area and mat black colored plastic around keys, we get a well assembled entity. However, main attraction of this keyboard is something else. In upper right corner is located a key for illumination regulation. OK, we saw lightened keys before, but they were mostly lightened with blue or some other color, and light was spreading through them. This usually irritates eyes during longer usage in the dark. Great majority of Logitech Illuminated keyboard is lightened with white light (except for orange function keys), light penetration between keys is reduced to minimum and it can be seen only in pitch-dark (when your monitor is turned off, which is absurd). This enables very clear indication of keys location. Illumination intensity can be adjusted in three steps according to your needs and your working environment. Of course, it is possible to switch off back lights.
Key mechanics is perfect. For example, pushing of different parts of Space key does not require different pressure intensity, but always the same. Length of key stroke is best described as something between notebook and desktop keyboards with length of key stroke shorter than usual. Key response is very good. We tested it in legendary 2D arcade game Metal Slug. We were walking straight ahead, and at the same time we were randomly shooting in all directions while we were jumping from time to time and throwing a lot of hand grenades. Illuminated keyboard was simply catching all commands easily.
