 Netbook fever is at its peak and new models are presented, almost, on weekly basis. This time we present you Lenovo IdeaPad S10e netbook. Although IdeaPad should be more vanguard series than ThinkPad series, Lenovo design of S10e cannot be described as excitable. Lenovo S10e is black “squarish” shaped, with kind of “neutral” looks which some will appreciate. We could say that it looks like some ThinkPad models and maybe this was the main idea of Lenovo designers.

 One of the best netbooks that we tested so far, HP 2133 Mini-Note , has got its successor in form of, eagerly awaited, HP Mini 2140. Beside display size (8.9 inch at older and 10.1inch on the new model) differences between HP 2133 and HP 2140 are minimal when it comes to external aesthetics. Chassis is 6mm longer and 1mm wider and ventilation grills are redesigned. For all those that are not familiar with our review of HP 2133 we will just say that HP 2133 has very good quality build and nice business look.

 EliteBook is relatively new series of HP notebooks and it is intended for demanding business users. It was created with goal of creating better distinction between business and top-class notebooks that can withstand much tougher working conditions. Model that we got in our test lab is HP EliteBook 6930p and after first contact with this model it was clear that we got an “elite” notebook.

 Vostro is brand of Dell notebooks that belongs to accessible business class. Vostro A860 is model that was designed with one goal: achieving as low as possible price tag that will be attached to it. Since manufacturer is trying to go with lowest price as possible, compromise between desires and possibilities has to be made. It will be very interesting to see how one of the largest notebook manufacturers is going to make his choices when it comes to components and build quality under these conditions.

 We are sure that most of you don’t fantasize about big and heavy notebook models, but then again, we are also sure that most of you would like to own a notebook like Acer Aspire 8730G. If multimedia features of notebook mean to you more than mobility and portability than this “giant” will draw your attention for sure. Don’t let this initial description scare you. Although dimensions of Acer Aspire 8730G are noticeable, its weight doesn’t go over 4kg which is not too much for a notebook with 18.4inch diagonal.

 The age of netbooks has started with models that had 7 inch displays. Very soon all of us noticed that this is not enough, so models with 8, 9 and 10 inch displays became netbook mainstream models. Acer postponed presentation of its 10 inch model for a long time but it seems that they have made a right decision because this will be, probably, the year of transition to 10 inch models. As a reminder, we will tell you that ASUS has announced discontinuance of its 8 and 9 inch display Eee PC models. Finally, in our test lab has appeared Acer Aspire One D150: new Acer’s trump card in the netbook deck.
