BIOS
“Soft” segment of this “heavy weight” champ is in top shape. We already mentioned that this motherboard has two EEPROM chips to prevent BIOS crashes. With jumper can be set what BIOS is primary so it is easy to switch from first to second. This option is very useful in extreme overclocking conditions because BIOS failures in those cases are very common. In case if one BIOS crashes, you can always switch to other one and reset first one to default values.
BIOS has all usual controls but best part is Extreme Tweaker that holds overclock options. We believe that this BIOS is best part of this motherboard when it comes to overclock. You can set memory divider, CPU multiplier, QPI bus frequency and voltage for all vital chips on motherboard.

In table you can find all values and step settings. We should mention that DRAM Bus Voltage option sets voltage for memory modules, and QPI-DRAM Core Voltage option sets voltage for QPI bus and integrated memory controller. By changing frequency of QPI bus you can change frequency of CPU and integrated memory controller (analogy with FSB on Core2 platform can be made). In Extreme Tweaker you can also set all memory timings and all other vital overclock settings.
