Page 2 of 6 Then Xbox 360 arrives, being first in a row of next-gen consoles, and almost year before first direct competition of PlayStation 3. We notified you about this event, but it is only now we are able to officially introduce you to new Microsoft’s console, because it is now in free sale on European market, in form of „Premium“ package which among other contains 20GB hard disk, which is certainly subject to a change. Alternative to this set is „Core“ system, cheaper for hundred or some euros, but it does not have hard disk, does not enable option of playing original Xbox games and controller in package is not wireless.
There are no hardware differences, so each type Xbox 360 console has „Triple-Core“ IBM´s processor on 3.2 GHz, ATI´s „Unified Shader“ graphics unit and 512 MB GDDR3 memory being shared between system and graphics card. On Premium package on Xbox 360 can be connected four wireless controllers, one of the most positive feature is brought by Microsoft’s console. It would be quite nice if everybody would be able to get all four controllers, because Pro Evolution Soccer with three other „footballer“ buddies without limiting cables are indescribable experience. To be honest, wireless controller is easier to launch to the wall after received goal, but at least you will not throw away entire console by the cable. Yet, if you prefer „wired“ version or you purchased steering, for instance, you are provided with USB ports on the front side and one on the back. The most useful change comparing to original Xbox is fact that headset is now being connected directly to joypad, therefore providing some sort of wirelessness because you are not connecting it to a console, which was the case with previous version.
When we are talking about support for graphics view, Xbox 360 provides „HighDef“ in resolution of 720p and 1080i. Audio is supported by Dolby Digital 5.1 system, giving a truly excellent sound to games and movies.
