We should mention that regardless of how good filters your non-HD display has, picture on (active) matrix displays is best when its viewed in 1:1 pixel ratio because there will be no shrinking/stretching of picture that can result in drops (choppy video). ViewSonic managed to make display that is perfectly suited for HD resolution without compromises that could exclude it from usage in any other situation. ViewSonic VX2260wm is very good monitor that, even with few minor flaws, can satisfy wide consumer group (from gamers to movie lovers) with its acceptable price, quality and HD format/resolution.
