Starting from October the 22st, Windows
7 is available globally, both with new PCs and in standalone
packages, ready to remind you that there is life after Vista. Claimed
to make a PC user's life easier, Microsoft's latest operating system
comes with a streamlined interface, faster startup, resuming and shut
down times, enhanced power management, higher performance than its
predecessor, DirectX 11, an improved Windows Search, Windows Touch
technology for multi-touch actions, Internet Explorer 8, Windows
Media Player 12, the HomeGroup networking system for easy sharing if
data and printers, and many other, more or less interesting things.
Windows 7 has four editions - Starter
(OEM only), Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate, the last three
costing about $120, $120 and $220, and, as mentioned, is already out
