YouTube's mobile website has grown like mad (160% in 2009), thanks to huge smartphone adoption, and is now serving up videos to millions of people around the world. This is an audience that cannot be ignored in terms of potential revenue so after a bit of testing, Google has now begun putting ads on the mobile site's home, search, and browse pages.
The banner ads are, for starters, available only to American and Japanese visitors but further expansion is surely in plan. Well, all about the money anyway.
