MSI Debuts IM-GM45 Platform for Intel’s 45nm Core 2 Processor |

MSI debuts IM-GM45 with GM45+ICH9M-E chipset to support Intel's latest 45nm Core 2 processor. MSI IM-GM45 adapts new generation GM45 north-bridge chip which integrated with Intel GMAX4500 HD graphics core which can boost 1.7 times 3D performance higher than previous GME965's graphics and fully supports Microsoft DirectX 10.
The visual effects and gaming compatibility are ensured. The ClearVideo technology inside indicates fully support Blu-Ray video playback, smoothen multiple video formats’ encoding and decoding, including MPEG2, H.264 and VC1 via hardware acceleration. Various video interfaces: VGA, DVI and HDMI connector onboard to support high-quality and multiple displays.
IM-GM45 support Intel HD Boost technology for high-quality video encoding by SSE4 multimedia instructions embedded in processor, which can accelerate video, voice, finance, engineering, science and encryption applications. MSI IM-GM45 is more suitable for Digital Signage, POS, KIOSK, Gaming and multimedia equipments.
Accompany with versatile digital signage software (ex. ieHIP), MSI IM-GM45 could handle multiple HD videos, flash banner, TV program and RSS feed's ticker simultaneously. IM-GM45 can impress audience by its video quality and graphics performance.
South-bridge ICH9M/ICH9M-E refines the expansions from IDE, SATA and CompactFlash type II interface for storage. The quantity of USB interface is up to 8. PCI slot and PCIe Mini Card are ready for upgrade of Wireless LAN, bluetooth, TV Tuner and other modules.
MSI IM-GM45 adapts Intel 82567LM and 82574L Gigabit Ethernet controllers to support redundancy and Intel AMT technology. Onboard Mini Card slot can upgraded to 802.11b/g/n by installing WLAN module. MSI IM-GM45 support Intel vPro technology and its AMT 4.0 technology which can provide higher manageability and security for enterprise. For instance, remote shooting and recovery function of AMT 4.0 makes IT professionals can reduce on-site service. And remote hardware and software asset tracking function issues alerts when hardware parts or software version/license is changed.
