Rumor says Intel is readyto launch new 34nm NAND chips SSDs in two weeks or less. The drives areexpected to ship in 80, 160 and 320GB. There are other rumors sayngthere will be even biggest SSDs soon, big enough to replace the HDDs inallmost every laptop. Besides higher capacities, new SSDs willhave faster performance, reduced power consumption, and maybe evenlower prices. That was one of the biggest problems of this technologysince PCs with SSD are much more expensive than same models with HDD. Thecurrent X18-M and X25-M solid state drives use a 50nm process, and have80GB and 160GB capacities. Price range is from $350 to $800.
