ASUS has launched the ASUS M3A78-T motherboard. The new ASUS M3A78-T, with an integrated GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), utilizes the AMD platform, and is able to boost graphics with different modes such as Hybrid CrossFireX or Quad-CrossFire. For users who opt to only utilize the integrated GPU without any add-on graphics card, the M3A78-T adopts SidePort – an onboard DDR3 memory module that can be utilized as shared memory to enhance onboard graphical performance.

The M3A78-T features the AMD 790GX graphics integrated chipset; and is able to accelerate onboard graphics processes through its built-in DDR3 shared memory known as SidePort. With this shared memory space, onboard graphics will greatly reduce CPU usage and thus accelerate processes to increase performance by 6.8%.

For users who wish to pursue escalated graphics experiences, by just adding one extra ATI graphics card, Hybrid CrossFireX, based on ATI’s multi-GPU technology, will link the VGA card with the onboard GPU for enhanced graphical outputs and deliver an 83% improvement on the 3DMark Vantage benchmark. Additionally, to help hardcore users achieve ultimate performances, the M3A78-T also provides 3 PCIe x16 slots to increase VGA card expansion capabilities.

The M3A78-T motherboard also provides multiple VGA output interfaces that allow it to be utilized as a home theater PC. It has RGB, DVI and HDMI output interfaces. With the ASUS Express Gate, it only takes 5 seconds to go online from bootup without entering Windows.

Moreover, the M3A78-T supports 140W CPUs – allowing users to be well prepared for CPU upgrades in the future. It is also equipped with exceptional support for analog/digital outputs – enabling the PC to be utilized as a home theatre solution.
