Few years ago, Valve was criticized for ATI Half - Life 2 bundle fiasco and many buyers felt they were tricked by Valve due to delays of release date for Half - Life 2. However, Valve and ATI kept tight relations, and it seems that Valve finally decided to put some smiles back on faces of ATI card owners.
Effective immediately, all ATI Radeon graphics card owners can download a free copy of Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch through Steam. If you later switch ATI card for Nvidia one, you'll still be able to use and download mentioned content.
In related news, Valve announced that Steam package will be included in the future versions of ATI Catalyst driver suite until early 2008, while Radeon HD 2900 XT owners will receive Team Fortress 2, Portal and Half - Life 2: Episode Two, also via Steam, which suppressed 13 million accounts earlier this month. |
