I'm curious why you compared nVidia's 280 to ATI's best X2 card?
My concern is that some people reading this might think you are comparing apples to apples.
In my humble opinion, it would have been more fair to use nVidia's GTX 295 in this comparison. I did do a quick search and I'm not seeing where it is possible to buy a GTX 295 card so maybe they are still vaporware?

We used fastest graphics cards that we could find at that moment. Purpose of this test wasn't comparison of nVIDIA and ATI graphics card performances on Core i7 platform but comparison of Core i7 and Core2 architecture in games on nVIDIA and ATI graphics cards.
