As far as we know it does support PSI - Power State Indicator specifications. We dont have that motherboard any more in our test lab so we can not check that specific feature.

Great! Are there other boards supporting this feature also?

Depends ... Bear in mind that Crosshair II Formula is top class motherboard. All newer models should support it.

I am hunting for those boards. So far I found only ASRock to officially support PSI in form of IES (Intelligent Energy Saving). Currently I am sweeping through Asus forums for more information and some confirmation on other (cheaper) boards.

I am very surprised and disappointed because only a few online reviews and articles mentioned this power savings capability of Phenoms. Also, only ASRock advertised this feature on their site. Look at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYbqK2Ba2cQ

Yeah only one MB that currently supports this feature is http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=K10N750SLI-WiFi

There are also some Gigabyte MBs: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/News/Motherboard/News_List.aspx?NewsID=1401

You can expect more motherboards soon with this feature.

Why is PSI that important to you?

It is not that important for me, but I am rather surprised no one is mentioning this and like nobody cares about it... look at Gigabyte site, how many power efficient boards for Intel do you see? 24+ and now for AMD? 0

Also I am planing to buy a Phenom in near future and just need to pick a board

Well I don't thinks that PSI should be a decisive feature when choosing motherboard. It lowers power consumption with little help from a peace of software made by motherboard manufacturer. Problem is that this is relatively new feature and you can expect some kind of problems now and then.

My personal opinion is to look at more "traditional values" when choosing motherboard for Phenom CPU or to wait a month and see what will be available then. You can expect few reviews of Phenom motherboards in next few weeks here on InsideHW.

Either way I planned to buy a Phenom CPU+mobo sometimes in November and in the meantime I will pay close attention on motherboard reviews.
