How much Ram use is normal for Vista? Basically even sitting at the desktop im seeing 50% of physicall memory usage.<br /><br />the system has 1gig in it right now, with no open slots.

that&#039;s just &quot;ok&quot; in vista&#039;s terms. in idle, vista consumes about 500-700mb, depending on your setup.<br /><br />memory is rather cheap nowadays and you should try upgrading to 2gb.
