Hardware problems on old pc 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 0

Hi!

This week I noticed that my "old" pc seemed to reboot itself at random times. It worked fine for over a half year...
I looked in the logs and I saw "amli: acpi ..."
I thought my xp install was borked so I did a clean install but the problem remains... Does it mean that I can throw away Yet another Mobo???

Hm... It might as well be the case. However, such things are always hard to pinpoint exactly. I would check my power supply if I were u.

ACPI is short of Advanced Configuration Power Interface so your problem could be related to certain BIOS settings that handle power functions.
Did you change any BIOS settings earlier? Try loading default values and updating BIOS. Also, check temperatues for CPU and graphics card.
