Hi

Is there any reason why an EN6600 shouldn't work in a Striker Extreme?

I know it's crazy having an old GPU in such a fast mobo, but it's just a point of principle really? My supplier tells me my PCI INIT problem on the Striker is caused by the EN6600 graphics card?

They worked fine in the Striker for a couple of days but now neither of them wants to play. They work okay in my A8NSLI-SE so I am confused

Any technical reason why they shouldn't work?
I really don't know why it shouldn't work. The PCI-E standard has not changed in a while. And having experience with those high-end mobos, if there is a problem, it's ASUS's fault. Try updating the BIOS.

Hi,

I haven't heard about such conflict so far. What PSU do you have? Striker Extreme is power hog so I'm thinking it could be related to that.

Updating mb BIOS to latest version is step one.
