Chairs and cribs have come a long way since the late 1800s. But it’s not always safe to sleep in a crib that’s cot, crib, or otherwise on the floor. Here’s what you need to know about back-to-basics cribs.

What should you look for in a crib?
To figure out which crib you should buy, here’s what you should look for:
Function: Cribs come with a few functional features, or they may not.
A high-quality and sturdy base: Cribs that are built for babies need to have a sturdy base, especially if they have a thick mattress.
A tight fit: Cribs that are tight to the mattress need to be very tight and have no room for movement.
A smooth finish: Cribs without any finish need to be stain and dust-free.
A nice size: The crib should look great and be comfortable for the baby, especially since it’s so easy to take out and put back in.
A good fit and finish: Cribs that are built for babies should be clean and have a lovely finish.
A comfortable and removable chair that can be easily cleaned: A good fit for a crib is the chair’s back, so it’s easy to easily pull out and put back in.
A removable child tray: This feature is important because a toddler or a baby with a big appetite can quickly eat all their things in one sitting.
What about convertible cribs?
Cribs convert easily. They can convert into a daybed, toddler bed, full-size bed, and a full-sized bassinet.
The conversion process is easy. Just click the convertible button on the side. The crib can then be converted to a daybed, toddler bed, full-size bed, and a full-sized bassinet.
How do I choose a mattress for a baby crib?
When choosing the perfect mattress, first test it on the crib’s mattress by placing your baby on top of it and keeping them close to you. You can also try a portable crib that makes it easy to move it from room to room.
After finding the ideal mattress, look for a thin, medium or thick mattress. You want the mattress to be firm and not slip around on your child.
